The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Jackson. Beautiful body shot.
Mael uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackson.
Jackson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A left and a right from Jackson both land. Nice combination.
A left lands for Jackson.
Mael attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jackson misses with a looping right.
Mael shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mael looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Mael persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mael sprawling to the canvas! Mael rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jackson finish him?!

Mael is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mael drops his hands momentarily. Jackson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Mael staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Mael doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
