Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trenton Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Braylin Timmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timmon darts in looking for a takedown but Matthews gets double underhooks and turns Timmon into the cage.
A little feinted left hand from Matthews on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Timmon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Timmon controls the position.
Matthews is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Timmon is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Matthews can't escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Timmon avoids the attempt from Matthews to control.
Timmon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Matthews can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Matthews is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Matthews gets back to half guard.
Timmon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Matthews tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Timmon passes to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matthews is trying to control Timmon's posture but Timmon avoids it.
Timmon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Timmon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Timmon in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Matthews trying his best to control but Timmon has mounted him.

Matthews is bucking up trying to escape but Timmon cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Timmon is looking to stand but Matthews has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Timmon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Timmon is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Matthews is surviving well by controlling Timmon's body position as best he can.
Matthews is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Timmon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Timmon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Timmon is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Matthews gets tackled into the cage by Timmon. Timmon maintains the clinch.
Matthews is pressed up against the cage. Timmon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Matthews down to the mat. Matthews avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Matthews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Timmon tries to avoid it but Matthews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Timmon to the ground. Timmon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Timmon wants to counter the offense by Matthews and move into the clinch position.

Matthews shoots for a takedown but Timmon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Timmon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Timmon is looking to stand up but Matthews isn't so interested in that idea.
Matthews slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Matthews has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Timmon to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Matthews is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Timmon pulls down on the head and he's put Matthews to sleep! This one is all over!
