Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Percy Mayweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Baptista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Percy Mayweather had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for Percy Mayweather has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayweather misses with a double jab.
Mayweather pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Baptista dodges the punch combination from Mayweather.
Mayweather misses with a low kick.
Mayweather shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baptista pinned against the cage. Baptista gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Baptista forces Mayweather back against the cage and clinches.
Mayweather changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baptista fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Baptista shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baptista drops back looking for a leg! Mayweather is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mayweather manages to kick Baptista off! Baptista jumps back into Mayweather's guard.

Baptista is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Baptista uses his free foot to push down on Mayweather's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mayweather.
Mayweather is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
