The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Gibbs.
Gibbs uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Curtis has time to react.
Gibbs dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Curtis lands with an overhand left.
Curtis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Curtis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gibbs throws out the jab.
Curtis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gibbs sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A left lands for Gibbs.
Curtis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gibbs moves away.
Gibbs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Curtis is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Gibbs lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gibbs.

Gibbs throws a sloppy head kick and Curtis moves out of range easily.
Curtis misses with a low kick.
Gibbs wants to counter with a clinch but Curtis pushes him away.
Curtis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Gibbs throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Ezekiel Curtis has been cut.
Curtis takes one to the chin there.

Curtis takes the fight into the clinch.
Curtis wants to break free but Gibbs has control.
Gibbs has Curtis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Curtis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Curtis stops a takedown attempt from Gibbs.
Gibbs tries to pull guard but Curtis won't allow it.
Ezekiel Curtis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marlon Gibbs.
Gibbs is trying to drag Curtis to the mat but Curtis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Still in the clinch, Curtis scores with a nice short uppercut.

Curtis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gibbs misses with a double jab
and Curtis counters with a nice body shot.
Gibbs throws a hook but Curtis blocks it.
Curtis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gibbs.
Nice defenses there by Curtis.
Curtis swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Gibbs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gibbs lands a nice shot that snaps Curtis's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gibbs misses with a straight right.
Gibbs throws a poor cross that misses
and Curtis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Curtis walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gibbs connects with a single shot there.

Gibbs throws the kick towards the body but Curtis avoids it.
Curtis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gibbs.
Curtis sizes up Gibbs with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gibbs takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gibbs misses with a left hand

and Curtis counters with a nice right hand that sends Gibbs toppling to the canvas! Gibbs scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Curtis finish him?!

Gibbs is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Curtis lands a brutal uppercut that launches Gibbs off his feet! Gibbs tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
