Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vito Belto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Goldberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vito Belto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Goldberg!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belto misses with a combination

and Goldberg counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Belto!
Belto is being controlled here.
Belto tries to bench press Goldberg off him but Goldberg keeps the position.
Belto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Goldberg is working for a kimura but Belto is defending it quite comfortably.

Belto has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Goldberg escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Goldberg!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Goldberg is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Belto moves into full guard.

Belto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Goldberg manages to get himself to full guard.


Belto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Goldberg manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Belto has Goldberg in his guard.

Belto has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Goldberg has passed into side control.
Goldberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Goldberg slows the pace down.

Belto is trying to get back to full guard.

Belto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Goldberg defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Belto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goldberg is one step ahead there.
Goldberg controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Goldberg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belto is keeping the position for now.
Belto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Goldberg is trying to stand up here but Belto is controlling him well.

Belto is working for a submission of some sort.

Belto is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Goldberg to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Belto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goldberg swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Goldberg is trying to control the position but Belto postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belto is fighting to break Goldberg's control of his arms but Goldberg is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Belto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Goldberg dives on top into guard.

Belto can't keep his opponent in guard - Goldberg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Goldberg dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Goldberg gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Goldberg throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Belto blocks it with crossed arms.
Belto struggles to land a body shot inside as Goldberg controls his hands.
A frustrated look appears on Belto's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Goldberg pulls guard successfully.
Belto pushes down on Goldberg's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goldberg can do anything to dispel that myth.
Goldberg has his hands clasped together around Belto's back. He's all about the action.

Belto is trying to work for a kimura but Goldberg is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Belto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Goldberg is just riding it out for now. Belto eventually gives up the hold.
Belto blocks the strikes from Goldberg.

Belto frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Goldberg prevents Belto from taking his back.

Belto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Goldberg is now in Belto's guard. A big mistake from Belto there, giving up the dominant position!

Belto has his foot on Goldberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Goldberg works his way back into a safe position though.
Bill Goldberg has got the better of the ground game so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Belto is on top in guard.

Goldberg is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Goldberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Belto won't allow Goldberg to get back to his feet.

Goldberg looking for a sweep. Not yet Goldberg, not yet.
Goldberg pulls Belto in close to prevent any damage.
Goldberg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Belto manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Belto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goldberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Belto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goldberg's guard.

Belto is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Goldberg is trying to stand up here but Belto is controlling him well.

Belto maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Goldberg could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Belto has cracked it and Goldberg is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Belto!
