PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Cylo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Dylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cylo comes to the cage accompanied by Dust-Cypress Hill. Rob Dylan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cylo clobbers Dylan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dylan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cylo circles away.
Cylo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cylo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dylan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dylan's back!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dylan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cylo but Cylo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nice uppercut lands for Cylo. That snapped Dylan's head back.
Dylan shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd cheers as Cylo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dylan doesn't seem phased though.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cylo, right into the meat.
Cylo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Both fighters circling a little - Cylo finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Cylo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dylan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cylo walks away with a smile on his face. Dylan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cylo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dylan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cylo misses with a head kick.
Cylo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Cylo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Cylo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cylo digs a good hook to Dylan's body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dylan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cylo throws out the jab.
Dylan slips a straight right by Cylo.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cylo is looking to clinch but Dylan is avoiding it.
Dylan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Cylo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cylo misses the shot to the body.
Donk. Cylo catches Dylan right on the button with a cross.

Cylo is trying to escape the mount.

Cylo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Cylo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dylan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dylan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cylo escapes and throws Dylan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Dylan is trying to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cylo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dylan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cylo has Dylan in his guard.
