Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Shermann fails to land the takedown.
Smith lands with a straight right. Shermann didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Harold Shermann has been cut.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smith.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Shermann has eaten all the pies!
Smith avoids the head kick by Shermann.

Smith lands a big head kick that sends Shermann tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Shermann back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Shermann out cold! Shermann is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Smith!
After the fight, John Smith was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
