Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Van Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gon Kilua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Murray has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Van Murray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gon Kilua!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kilua is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Murray's half guard.
Murray is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Kilua drops an elbow to the side of Murray's head.
Murray is concentrating on defense, preventing Kilua from advancing position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kilua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murray swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kilua postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Murray is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kilua, into his guard.

Murray seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kilua for as long as he can get away with.

Kilua is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Murray ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Murray no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Murray drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murray jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Murray for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
