The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Howlson duly obliges.

It looks like Elbert Roth has been cut.
Roth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Howlson as he avoids it easily.
Howlson connects with an inside leg kick.

Howlson rushes Roth and presses him up against the cage.
Howlson misses with the head strike.
Roth tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Stalling in the clinch from Howlson.
Howlson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Howlson breaks the clinch.
Howlson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Howlson has Roth up against the cage in a clinch.
A short uppercut from Howlson.
Howlson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Howlson tries to land knees in the clinch but Roth avoids the damage to the body.
Howlson lands a nice uppercut.

Howlson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Howlson lands a front kick.

Howlson clinches up against the cage.

Howlson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A nice right hand lands inside from Howlson.
Roth fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Howlson breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Howlson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Roth is breathing heavily.
Howlson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Howlson wobbles Roth with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Howlson dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Roth to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
