The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galgulaid avoids a punch combination nicely.
Galgulaid uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Oxadus.

Galgulaid throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oxadus's waist but Oxadus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Galgulaid off to one side.
Galgulaid tries to close the distance and clinch but Oxadus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Oxadus throws a lazy right hand but Galgulaid sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Galgulaid connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Matteus Oxadus has been cut.
Oxadus throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Galgulaid or perhaps it was just good defense by Oxadus, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Galgulaid is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Oxadus screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
