PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rascal Donkashane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rascal Donkashane!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donkashane misses with a takedown attempt - Snitch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Snitch moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Snitch looks for a takedown but Donkashane sprawls well.
Snitch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donkashane tries to avoid it but Snitch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donkashane to the ground. Donkashane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donkashane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Donkashane is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Snitch.

Snitch closes the distance and pushes Donkashane back into the cage.
Donkashane is looking to break free of the clinch but Snitch has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Donkashane works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Donkashane has Snitch pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Snitch manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Donkashane works on Snitch's body with a couple of short punches.
Donkashane gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Snitch.

Donkashane tries to throw a body punch but Snitch avoids it by throwing Donkashane back against the cage.

The referee calls for Snitch to work.
Snitch is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Snitch darts in looking for a takedown but Donkashane gets double underhooks and turns Snitch into the cage.

and Snitch makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Snitch slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Donkashane is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Snitch is aware though and is defending well.

Snitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Donkashane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Snitch has managed to get both his arms back between Donkashane's legs - danger averted.

Our spies down at at The Factory inform us that Donkashane has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Donkashane isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Snitch stacks Donkashane on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Snitch!

Snitch controlling the position from side mount.
Donkashane is looking to reverse the position.
Snitch just content to control the position.
You can see the frustration on Donkashane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Donkashane looking for a sweep but Snitch has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Donkashane wants to hold on but Snitch pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Donkashane tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Snitch scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Snitch circles away from the clinch attempt.
Snitch feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Snitch scoring well with a low kick there.
Snitch lands a slapping body shot.
Donkashane wants to clinch up but Snitch keeps it at a distance.

Donkashane rushes Snitch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Donkashane tries to work over Snitch's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Donkashane is trying to push Snitch away but Snitch has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snitch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snitch dives in for a single leg takedown but Donkashane sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Donkashane let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Snitch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Donkashane drives through with a takedown into Snitch's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Donkashane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Snitch works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Donkashane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snitch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snitch pulls Donkashane in close to prevent any damage.

Donkashane drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Snitch dives on top into guard.


Donkashane throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Snitch escapes and throws Donkashane's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Donkashane is trying to get back to half guard.
Snitch is chipping away with strikes.
Snitch remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Snitch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Donkashane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Snitch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Snitch's back!
I really don't envy Snitch right now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Donkashane sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Snitch's guard.

Snitch is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Westside Martial Arts, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Snitch is not content to let Donkashane control the position.

Donkashane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Snitch defends it well.
