The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miocic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses.
Miocic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Miocic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shaw's head.
Miocic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shaw manages to avoid it.
Shaw looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Miocic wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Shaw is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Miocic.

It looks like DJ Shaw has been cut.
Shaw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shaw throws a head kick but Miocic moves out of range.
No joy there for Miocic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Miocic moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Shaw! Miocic continues to tee off on Shaw, landing with a left and a right! Miocic connects with a right hand that leaves Shaw sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Miocic!

Stipe Miocic got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
