Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jenji Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ueda comes to the cage accompanied by Requiem for a Dream. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jenji Ueda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Slim Jim!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ueda moves into the clinch.
Jim drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ueda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ueda just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jim's brow.
Ueda stops a takedown attempt from Jim.
Jim is trying to drag Ueda to the mat but Ueda just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jenji Ueda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slim Jim.

The is referee keeping an eye on Ueda - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Jim moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ueda fights it off and pushes away nicely.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ueda creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ueda for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jim has Ueda pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ueda manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Ueda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ueda feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ueda is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jim is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
