PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hai Sears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White takes the fight into the clinch.
Sears is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables White to keep the fight standing.
Sears tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. White smiles and moves away.

White has managed to clinch.
Sears could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
White keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sears's efforts to push away.
Sears is trying to break the clinch but White is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White is pressed up against the cage. Sears has hold of a leg and is looking to drag White down to the mat. White avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hai Sears. That's going to take a lot out of him.
White leaves Sears with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

It looked like Sears was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sears tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and White counters with a lovely shot to the body.

White has managed to clinch.
Sears tries to pull guard but White forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
White lands a knee to the body.
White gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Hai Sears has been cut.
White has Sears pressed against the cage, preventing Sears from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

White breaks from the clinch.

White rushes Sears and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
White lands a nice elbow.
Sears tries to pull guard but White holds him up against the cage and eventually Sears drops back down to his feet.
White has Sears pressed against the cage, preventing Sears from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sears is breathing heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
