Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emily Weaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emily Weaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Demian Almeida!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weaver tries to clinch but Almeida is having none of it.
Weaver doesn't manage to clinch there - Almeida circles away.
Almeida has a takedown stuffed.
Almeida avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Weaver tries to close the distance and clinch up but Almeida swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Almeida fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Weaver, pushing him back against the cage.
Weaver throws an elbow but it misses.
Almeida goes for a takedown attempt but Weaver pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Weaver could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Almeida decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Almeida is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Weaver is just riding it out for now. Almeida eventually gives up the hold.
Almeida stops Weaver from getting back to his feet.
Weaver makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Weaver looks to clinch
and Almeida counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Almeida.

Almeida tries to pass the half guard into mount. Weaver knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Almeida looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Almeida is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Weaver won't allow Almeida to pass to mount.
Almeida is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Weaver doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Almeida.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Weaver has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Almeida is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Weaver.

Almeida is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Weaver is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

and Almeida counters with a single leg into guard. Weaver didn't expect that.

Nice takedown defense from Weaver. No joy for Almeida on that attempt.
Almeida shoots for a double leg takedown but Weaver sprawls well. He's pushed Almeida's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Almeida drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Weaver gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Almeida had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Weaver is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Almeida Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Weaver's back instead.
Weaver turns into Almeida and is now in his guard.
Weaver avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Weaver drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Weaver jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Demian Almeida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Almeida counters with a single leg into guard. Weaver didn't expect that.
Almeida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weaver swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Almeida decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Weaver, up you get!

and Almeida counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Weaver looking for subs off his back but Almeida has passed one foot through into half guard.
Almeida stops Weaver from getting back to his feet.
Almeida is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Weaver is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
