The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azmun tries a head kick but it misses.
Meyers appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Meyers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looked like Meyers wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Meyers gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Meyers putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Azmun in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Meyers lands a left hand that snaps the head of Azmun backwards.

Meyers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Meyers decides to pull guard.
Meyers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Azmun manages to get himself to full guard.

Meyers controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Meyers drops back looking for a leg! Azmun is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Azmun manages to kick Meyers off! Meyers jumps back into Azmun's guard.

Meyers stands and steps away. Azmun gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Azmun moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Meyers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Meyers decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Azmun's guard.

Meyers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Meyers dodges the punch combination from Azmun.
Azmun takes one to the chin there.
Meyers tries for a takedown but Azmun sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Meyers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Azmun gets tackled into the cage by Meyers. Meyers maintains the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Meyers is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Azmun pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Meyers is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Meyers tries to pull guard but Azmun won't allow it.

and Meyers counters with a shoot takedown. Azmun fights it but they end up in guard.
Azmun wants to get back to his feet but Meyers passes into half guard.

Meyers feinted with a counter takedown.
Azmun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Meyers counters with a nice kick to the body.

Meyers turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Meyers stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Meyers looks for a takedown but Azmun sprawls well.
Meyers is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Meyers rushes Azmun and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Meyers drags the fight down to the ground.

Meyers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Azmun can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Meyers is trying to keep Azmun in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meyers is adopting a defensive guard.
Azmun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meyers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Azmun is posturing up here but Meyers has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Azmun tries to roll out but it's too tight and Azmun has to tap! Slick submission there by Meyers!
