The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshimura shoots for a takedown but Avalon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yoshimura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yoshimura wants it to stay on the feet.
Avalon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yoshimura sprawls well. Yoshimura wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Avalon gets slowly back to his feet.

Yoshimura looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Avalon has picked Yoshimura up and slammed him! Yoshimura can't keep hold of the triangle and Avalon manages to pass to side control!

Avalon is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Yoshimura's shoulder. That is not cool.

As Avalon backs off Yoshimura throws a huge counter combo but Avalon manages to avoid it all.
