Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pacheco darts in and clinches Loheis up against the cage.
Loheis is trying to pull guard but Pacheco has him pressed against the cage.
Loheis wants a takedown.

Loheis manages to pull guard.
Loheis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pacheco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pacheco throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pacheco accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pacheco gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Pacheco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Loheis has closed the distance and engaged Pacheco in a clinch.

Loheis tightens his grip and picks Pacheco up, before dumping him to the ground. Pacheco manages to land in guard.
Loheis throws a strike but Pacheco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Pacheco with a flurry of punches that miss.

Pacheco would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Loheis wants to stand up but Pacheco is controlling him.

Loheis kicks Pacheco off and gets to his feet.
Pacheco fails in his attempt to clinch.
Loheis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pacheco looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pacheco is defended easily by Loheis.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Loheis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pacheco regains guard immediately.
Pacheco avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Loheis cracks Pacheco with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Loheis chips away with some ground and pound.
Loheis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Loheis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pacheco's head.
Loheis throwing strikes but missing.
Loheis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Loheis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Pacheco is rocked!

Loheis looking to sit in guard and control but Pacheco gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Loheis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Loheis has his feet on Pacheco's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Loheis dives in and scores a takedown into Pacheco's guard.

Pacheco kicks Loheis off and gets to his feet.
Loheis looks winded!
Pacheco wants to clinch.

Eldon Pacheco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eshael Loheis.

Loheis breaks the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Loheis moves into the clinch successfully.
Loheis tries to pull guard but Pacheco holds him up against the cage and eventually Loheis drops back down to his feet.
Loheis tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pacheco slowing the pace effectively.
Loheis prevents Pacheco from breaking the clinch.
Pacheco wants to stall.

Pacheco swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Loheis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pacheco is trying to defend but Loheis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Loheis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Oh Pacheco is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Loheis scores with a big shot! Pacheco's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Pacheco! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
