The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Aguinaldo keeps Sanchez under control for a moment.
Sanchez tries to get to his feet but Aguinaldo is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Sanchez in his guard.
Sanchez wants to stand and escape but instead Aguinaldo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguinaldo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanchez's guard.
Aguinaldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
