The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Kobayashi.
A decent looking cross lands there for Machiavelli.
Machiavelli throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kobayashi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kobayashi tries to land a front kick but Machiavelli steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Machiavelli lands with a shot to the body.
Kobayashi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Machiavelli looks to score with a jab to the body but Kobayashi is just out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Machiavelli. That snapped Kobayashi's head back.
Machiavelli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Machiavelli misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kobayashi.
Kobayashi forces Machiavelli back against the cage and clinches.

Kobayashi is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Machiavelli has his hands clasped together but Kobayashi extends an breaks Machiavelli's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kobayashi.
