The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamazaki misses with a two punch combination.

Yamazaki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Yamazaki throws a looping overhand right but Machida ducks down to avoid it.
Yamazaki drops Machida with a left and a right! Oh, Machida is hurt - Yamazaki dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Lyoto Machida has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Machida tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Yamazaki wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Machida is letting Yamazaki control him for a moment.
Machida tries to buck Yamazaki off but Yamazaki is having none of it.
Yamazaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machida on the ground.
Machida is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yamazaki's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Yamazaki wants to stand but Machida has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Machida is looking to improve his position.

Yamazaki lands with a right and another and another! Machida is in big trouble! Yamazaki lands again and this time it's lights out for Machida! A quality knockout there for Yamazaki.
