Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Ireland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bret Ireland is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Gun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Bret Ireland!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gun jumps guard but Ireland turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Gun stalks Ireland and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ireland's face. Ireland staggers backwards, shaken.

Ireland tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gun swivels and escapes.
Gun tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ireland manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gun lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tommy Gun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ireland tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ireland somewhat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Gun will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gun feints a jab promting Ireland to slip. Gun then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ireland slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Tommy Gun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Ireland.

Gun's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gun will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gun shoots in looking for a takedown but Ireland manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gun's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gun or perhaps it was just good defense by Ireland, which made it look bad.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ireland! But no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tommy Gun is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ireland is trying to drag Gun to the mat but Gun just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tommy Gun.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gun, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
