PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forest Evens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongo Cornell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evens's entrance music is Ayo. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cornell throws a series of punches but Evens avoids them all with ease.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Evens wants to control from the top but Cornell keeps moving.
Evens is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cornell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Evens ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cornell moves away.
Evens swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Nice uppercut lands for Cornell. That snapped Evens's head back.
