Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Blaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior comes to the cage accompanied by Coal Chamber-Loco. Blaster is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Limp Bizkit-Break Stuff. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ultimate Warrior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Master Blaster!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Blaster misses with a takedown attempt

and Warrior counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Blaster looks gassed!

Warrior drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blaster looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blaster looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blaster!

Warrior tries to roll over but Blaster keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Warrior is staying active underneath Blaster, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Warrior misses with a takedown

and Blaster counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Warrior on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Warrior tries to get out of the position.

Warrior working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blaster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blaster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Warrior has his foot on Blaster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blaster works his way back into a safe position though.

Blaster decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Warrior passes Blaster's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Blaster wants to control but Warrior is keeping busy.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Warrior throws a strike but Blaster avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Warrior passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Warrior wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blaster, who protects the arm well.

Warrior is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blaster knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Warrior thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Blaster sneaks back into half guard.

Warrior is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Blaster feints and as Warrior raises his hands in defense, Blaster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Warrior is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blaster wants to get up but he can't break Warrior's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Warrior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blaster gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Warrior had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blaster is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Warrior Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blaster's back instead.
