Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Hurst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommy Gun will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gun looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hurst tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gun manages to circle out of the way.

Gun closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hurst's guard.
Hurst has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gun looking to sit in guard and control but Hurst gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gun has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hurst has passed into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hurst misses with the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hurst cracks Gun with a big elbow.
Gun struggling a bit here.

Hurst decides to stand back up. Hurst steps back and let's Gun get back to his feet.
Gun looks winded!
A head kick misses from Hurst.

Hurst closes the distance and clinches.
Hurst is trying to drag Gun to the mat but Gun just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hurst tries a knee to the head but Gun blocks it.
Hurst is looking to take this one to the mat.
Gun is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Hurst. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gun misses with a body punch.
Gun makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gun is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Gun is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hurst is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gun to the mat. Gun regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gun has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hurst has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gun has Hurst pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hurst manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Gun is pressed up against the cage. Hurst has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gun down to the mat. Gun avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hurst throws a head kick that misses.
Gun wants to land a leg kick but Hurst is out of range.
Gun misses with a hook to the body

and Hurst counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gun is looking to stand back up but Hurst counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gun.

Gun tries to get to full guard but Hurst has control of the leg.
Hurst scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Hurst content to control rather than advance.
Gun is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hurst scores with a couple of nice shots.

Hurst is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gun sees it coming and defends easily.
Hurst is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Gun is kicking away at Hurst from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Hurst grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Gun trying to push Hurst off... Gun taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
