Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shovel Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Wills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is X Gon' Give It To Ya. Wilson Wills has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shovel Knight's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Knight.
We've been told by Knight's head coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Wills looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wills has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Wills had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knight defends it easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Knight avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Knight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wills moves away.
Wills throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Knight stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close round but I would say that Shovel Knight will probably get the nod.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Knight gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Wills gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Knight is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wilson Wills!
