Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Art Vandelay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Warden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vandelay's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Street Fighting Man by The Rolling Stones. Art Vandelay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Art Vandelay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Warden!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vandelay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Warden's guard.
Warden throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Warden doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Warden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vandelay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Warden has Vandelay pulled in close to control his posture.
Vandelay is working Warden over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Vandelay feints and as Warden raises his hands in defense, Vandelay changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Vandelay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Warden pushes Vandelay away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vandelay gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Warden gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Warden connects with a nasty looking knee right to Vandelay's face.

Vandelay tries to pull guard but Warden holds him up against the cage and eventually Vandelay drops back down to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Art Vandelay will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Warden trying to control but Vandelay is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Warden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vandelay tries to clinch but Warden moves out of range.
Warden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Warden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Vandelay shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vandelay showed some decent athleticism there.
Vandelay prevents Warden from standing back up.

Vandelay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warden is refusing to be controlled, as Vandelay sits in half guard.
Warden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vandelay is working away from the top position though.
Warden wants to get back to his feet.
Vandelay uses his free foot to push down on Warden's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Warden.
Warden takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Vandelay tries to control but Warden wriggling away.

Vandelay goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Warden is on top in guard.

Vandelay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Warden can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Vandelay has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Warden. Oh but Vandelay has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Warden goes limp - he's gone! Vandelay jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
