Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Krestner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krestner's entrance music is Remember the Name. A fine choice. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Dean!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dean gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Krestner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Krestner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dean is just riding it out for now. Krestner eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Krestner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dean cracks Krestner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Dean lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Krestner circles away quickly and effectively.

Dean is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Krestner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Krestner's back!
Dean lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Krestner hold on?!

Dean has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Krestner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Krestner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
