Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uli Kunkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rizzo comes to the cage accompanied by Alice In Chains - Get Born Again. Kunkel has chosen Bubbles - Bidibodi Bidibu as his entrance music. Uli Kunkel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo takes a swing at Kunkel's ribcage but misses.
Kunkel moves out of range as Rizzo strikes.
Kunkel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rizzo manages to avoid it.
Rizzo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kunkel was well out of range. Poor timing from Rizzo.
Uli Kunkel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rizzo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looked like Rizzo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Kunkel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kunkel lands a nice shot that snaps Rizzo's head back.
Rizzo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kunkel connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rizzo scrambles back to his feet.

Kunkel's coach down at Young Achievers (All Elite Coach) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kunkel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kunkel throws an overhand right that lands on Rizzo's shoulder, as Rizzo tries to avoid the shot.
Kunkel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rizzo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Uli Kunkel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kunkel lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kunkel's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kunkel duly obliges.
Rizzo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kunkel throws out the jab.

Rizzo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kunkel's head.
Rizzo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kunkel.

Frank Rizzo's cut is getting worse.
Kunkel uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rizzo has time to react.
A jab lands there for Kunkel.

Rizzo is rocked!
Kunkel digs a good hook to Rizzo's body.
Oh Rizzo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kunkel throws the left hand but Rizzo avoids the punch easily.
Rizzo avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kunkel misses the shot to the body.
Rizzo seems to have got his legs back now.
Kunkel lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kunkel throws a right hand that Rizzo ducks under and follows up with a left that Rizzo also avoids with ease.

Rizzo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rizzo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kunkel stuffs the takedown.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kunkel! But no joy.

and Kunkel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Uli Kunkel seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kunkel looks to land a left hand but Rizzo moved out of range nicely.
Kunkel lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rizzo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kunkel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kunkel throws a body shot but no joy.

Rizzo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kunkel backs up against the cage.

Kunkel lands a left and a right that send Rizzo crashing to the mat, dazed. Kunkel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

In his post fight interview, Uli Kunkel started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
