Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rangnar Krell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rangnar Krell could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jimmy Diaz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rangnar Krell !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a body punch but Krell moves out of range.
Krell fails to land the takedown.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Krell shows good takedown defense.
Krell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Krell misses with a head kick.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krell is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Krell circles away and we're back to standing.
Krell is looking for a counter combo.
Rangnar Krell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Diaz.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Krell pulls Diaz into guard.
Krell controls Diaz momentarily but Diaz frees himself.

Krell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diaz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Krell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krell wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.
Krell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Diaz works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Diaz is trying to work for a kimura but Krell is defending well.
Krell is looking to improve his position.

Krell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Diaz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Krell is trying to control but can't.
Krell desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Diaz moves nicely into side control.
Krell is breathing heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Diaz is staying tight to Krell 's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Diaz throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Diaz stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Krell tries for a takedown but Diaz circles away easily

and Diaz moves into the clinch.
Diaz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Krell after a bit of a struggle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmy Diaz dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Diaz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Krell but Krell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Diaz lands with an uppercut that bounces Krell off the cage and back into range.

Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Krell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krell connects with a body shot.
Krell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Diaz drives through and clinches with Krell against the cage.
Krell wants a takedown.

Diaz tries for a takedown but Krell manages to get underhooks.
A nice right hand lands inside from Diaz.

Diaz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Krell is defending well.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Krell , looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Krell against the cage but Krell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Krell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krell is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Krell circles away and we're back to standing.

Diaz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Diaz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Krell is aware though and is defending well.
Diaz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Krell manages to get himself to full guard.

Diaz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Let's hope that Diaz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Krell takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Jimmy Diaz seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krell as he avoids it easily.
Diaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Krell defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Krell into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Diaz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Krell doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Diaz is fighting to break Krell 's control of his arms but Krell is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Krell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Diaz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Krell wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.

Diaz throws a series of strikes that have Krell backpedaling.
Krell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away.

Jimmy Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Diaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
