The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Risemonger throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Aguilar on the side of the head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Risemonger.

Risemonger gets a takedown into half guard.
Aguilar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Aguilar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Risemonger is one step ahead there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aguilar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Aguilar wants to sweep here but Risemonger controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Risemonger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aguilar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Risemonger throws some wild stikes that Aguilar manages to avoid easily.

Aguilar is squirming around, avoiding Risemonger's attempts to control the action.
Risemonger won't let Aguilar get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Aguilar is looking to improve his position but Risemonger isn't that keen on the idea.

Risemonger jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Aguilar manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Aguilar bucks up and tries to throw Risemonger off but instead Risemonger has got his back!
Risemonger doesn't have the hooks in and Aguilar manages to turn into his guard.
Risemonger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aguilar's guard.

Aguilar wriggles free and stands up.
Risemonger lands a jab to the nose.

Risemonger shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Risemonger was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aguilar is looking for a sweep.

Risemonger decides to stand back up. Risemonger steps back and let's Aguilar get back to his feet.
