PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Rottwel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rog Bison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rottwel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Land of the Free. Rog Bison told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rog Bison!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rottwel tries for a takedown but Bison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bison lands a really nice looking cross but Rottwel seems unphased.
Rottwel shoots in looking for a takedown but Bison manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rottwel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Rottwel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rottwel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bison counters with a nice uppercut.
Rottwel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bison dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheers as Bison lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rottwel doesn't seem phased though.
Rottwel takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Oooooh!!! Bison has knocked Rottwel down with a huge combo! Bison steps away and waves a wobbly Rottwel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Rottwel is rocked!

It looks like Igor Rottwel has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rottwel drops his hands momentarily. Bison doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Rottwel staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Rottwel doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rog Bison!
In defeat, Igor Rottwel stepped up to the mic, saying 'Good fight of my opponent'.
