Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orion Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Morgan!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook misses with a wild body shot.
Morgan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Cook feints and as Morgan raises his hands in defense, Cook changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cook is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Morgan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Morgan has escaped and now he's on top!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cook accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Cook's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cook swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Morgan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Morgan wants it to stay on the feet.
Morgan tries to counter with a clinch but Cook shakes him off and moves away.
Morgan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

As Cook backs off Morgan throws a huge counter combo but Cook manages to avoid it all.
Orion Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cook shoots for a double leg takedown but Morgan sprawls well. He's pushed Cook's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Morgan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cook's head.
Morgan looks to score with a jab to the body but Cook is just out of range.

Cook shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Morgan is trying to defend but Cook finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cook drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Morgan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cook has Morgan in his guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Morgan throws a head kick but Cook moves out of range.
Cook doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Morgan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cook thinking.

Morgan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cook swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Morgan counters with a left and a right that stings Cook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Orion Cook is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Morgan scores with the left hand. Cook knows he should have avoided that one.
Morgan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cook moves away.

Morgan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Morgan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Morgan throws a series of punches but Cook moves out of range.
Cook drops down looking for a counter takedown but Morgan sprawls and moves away.

A nice inside leg kick there by Morgan. That's going to slow Cook down.
Morgan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cook.

Cook changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morgan tries to avoid it but Cook manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morgan to the ground. Morgan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cook misses with an uppercut
and Morgan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cook takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morgan swings for the body but Cook moves out of range.
Cook throws a predictable looking body shot
and Morgan counters with a series of strikes. Cook will be more careful next time no doubt.
Morgan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Morgan lands with a shot to the body.
Morgan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cook is out of range and Morgan settles back down.

And that's the end of the fight!
Scott Morgan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Morgan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
