The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murpy drives through with a takedown into guard.
Punchalot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murpy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Murpy postures up in Punchalot's guard and throws a big left but Punchalot blocks it.
Punchalot controlling the position.
Murpy won't allow Punchalot to get back to his feet.
Punchalot keeping moving, preventing Murpy from controlling successfully.

Murpy trying to control but Punchalot is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Punchalot shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Punchalot showed some decent athleticism there.

Punchalot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murpy keeps working.

Murpy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murpy is looking to sinch up a triangle. Punchalot throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Murpy's body to avoid the submission. Murpy has instead reached around Punchalot's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Murpy arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
