Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silva Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Ain't no sandstrom - DaurudeMX ft as his entrance music. Silva Gracie struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Silva Gracie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Silva Gracie!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Wu finds it's way through Gracie's defenses.
Wu closes the distance and clinches.

We've been hearing reports that Wu has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wu walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wu stops a takedown attempt from Gracie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wu tries to get out of the position.

My spies in Red House inform me that Gracie has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wu has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Wu.

Gracie tries to buck Wu off but Wu is having none of it.

Wu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Wu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wu trying to control from half guard but Gracie is working away.
Gracie is looking to control Wu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie looking for subs from the bottom but Wu mounts him!
Wu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gracie regains half guard.
Well, if Wu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gracie is trying to stand up here but Wu is controlling him well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wu is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wu wants to stand up but Gracie has a hold of him and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Wu dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Nice takedown defense from Wu. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
James Wu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Wu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Wu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gracie avoids a kick to the body.
Wu leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silva Gracie.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Wu sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gracie tries to pull guard but Wu forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Wu wants the takedown. Gracie is fighting it off but Wu persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gracie's guard against the cage.
Wu wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Wu is proving a slippery customer.
Gracie looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wu is defending well. Gracie quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wu has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gracie celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Silva Gracie!
Silva Gracie spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
