The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickens just misses with a punch to the body.
Dickens throws out a loose jab but Simmons uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dickens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dickens lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dickens pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dickens dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Simmons steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Dickens.
Dickens tests Simmons's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Simmons dives in and grabs Dickens's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dickens pushes down on Simmons's head and hops out.

Simmons shoots for a double leg takedown but Dickens sprawls well. He's pushed Simmons's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Dickens tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Simmons manages to circle out of the way.

Dickens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Simmons was well out of range. Poor timing from Dickens.

Dickens throws a right hand that Simmons ducks under and follows up with a left that Simmons also avoids with ease.
Simmons seems to have recovered his senses.
Richard Dickens is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Look low, kick high! Dickens uses the oldest trick in the book to send Simmons tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Dickens is absolutely delighted - when Simmons wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
