The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mapambe with a nice cross.
Danielson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Danielson throws an overhand right that lands on Mapambe's shoulder, as Mapambe tries to avoid the shot.
Danielson misses with a lunging right hand
and Danielson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Danielson throws a body kick that misses
letting Mapambe counter with a right hand.
Danielson scores with a head kick.
Mapambe blocks a jab.
Danielson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mapambe needs to keep his hands up - Danielson had a free shot at his head there.
Mapambe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Danielson .
Danielson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mapambe throws a big shot that misses.
Mapambe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Danielson .
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Danielson throws a body shot but no joy.
Mapambe lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.

and Danielson counters with a head kick. That will keep Mapambe thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A little jabbing left from Mapambe on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Mapambe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Danielson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Danielson steps in and throws a big head kick that drops Mapambe to the mat! Mapambe looks in trouble, can he beat the count? Danielson is bouncing in a neutral corner joining in with the referee '4,5,6' they both chant. 7,8,9... he's not going to make it! 10! He's out! Danielson jumps onto the ropes and takes in the acclaim from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Johnny Danielson !
Johnny Danielson gave a mention to Alpha-Male Nutritional Supplements Q160/$185 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
