PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Palma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Palma might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Give It All. Silva has chosen Gwen Stacy-Gone Fishing see you in a year as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palma has a takedown stuffed.
Silva wants to clinch up but Palma keeps it at a distance.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
Silva's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Silva duly obliges.

Palma working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palma swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Palma has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Palma bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Palma's face.

Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
