Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Urias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Timmy Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Urias!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight clinches with his opponent.

Urias breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Knight tries to keep at a distance but Urias has taken the fight into the clinch.
Knight is trying to force a seperation but Urias has the dominant position.
Knight really is a fat lump.
Urias scores with a nice hook to the head.

Knight shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Urias wants to control but Knight passes into side.
Urias is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Knight is trying to get an arm triangle but Urias is defending well.
Urias holds on to Knight's head and controls the position momentarily.
Urias is looking for a sweep.
Knight misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Urias tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Urias really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Urias wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Urias is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Knight keeps control of the position as Urias tries to break free.

Knight thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Urias throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Knight works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Knight wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Knight is pulling down on Urias's head. It's preventing any offense from Urias, at least for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Timmy Knight will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Knight closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Urias wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Urias is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Knight pulls his head out easily.

Knight is trying to work for a kimura but Urias is defending well.
Urias wants to control but Knight passes into side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Urias explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Urias stalks Knight and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knight's face. Knight staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Timmy Knight has been cut.
Timmy Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Knight, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Urias clinches with his opponent.
Knight can't break the clinch.
Knight wants to break the clinch but can't.
A body shot lands from Urias.

Urias breaks from the clinch.
Urias is trying hard to land a takedown here. Knight sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Urias stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Urias wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Urias has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Knight is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Urias works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Knight wants to get back to striking at distance but Urias won't allow it.

Timmy Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Urias.
Urias lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Knight wants to break free but Urias has control.

Urias's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Knight misses with a wild combination.
Urias dodges the punch combination from Knight.

Urias lands a big head kick that sends Knight tumbling to the mat! Urias takes a step backwards and waves Knight back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Knight is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Urias closes the distance looking for a takedown. Knight stuffs it but Urias still has hold of him. Urias picks Knight up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Urias slams Knight to the floor and that's really hurt Knight - he doesn't know where he is! Urias throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
