Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Predator Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Krum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns's entrance music is Jiu-Jitsu. A fine choice. Krum has chosen Explosive by Bond as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Predator Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Viktor Krum!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krum misses with a looping left.
Burns scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Krum looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range.
Krum uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Burns has time to react.
Krum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
Burns drops down looking for a counter takedown but Krum sprawls and moves away.
Burns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Krum closes the distance and pushes Burns back into the cage.
Krum manages to break the clinch.
Krum moves out of range as Burns strikes.
Burns blocks a head kick by Krum.
Burns changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Krum tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Krum.

Krum tries to land a front kick but Burns steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Burns stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Krum throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Krum appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Burns feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Krums jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Krum is controlling Burns's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Krum is looking for a sweep. Burns is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Krum can't keep his opponent in guard - Burns advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Burns is looking to take a break and control but Krum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Krum is trying to get back to full guard.
Burns is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Krum sees it coming and defends easily.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Krum is defending well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Burns is trying to control the action in half guard but Krum is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Burns throws a strike but Krum avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Burns postures up and lands a big shot to Krum's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Predator Burns will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Burns was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Krum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Krum feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Burns's calf.

Burns passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Krum!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
