Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bartel Diakite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Kannemeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diakite comes to the cage accompanied by Diamonds. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diakite shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kannemeyer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Diakite stops Kannemeyer from standing up.
Diakite definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Diakite slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Diakite pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kannemeyer is keeping the position for now.
Diakite pushes down on Kannemeyer's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kannemeyer wants to improve his position but Diakite is controlling well.

Diakite has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Diakite is looking to work his way around to Kannemeyer's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Diakite goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kannemeyer is on top in guard.

Kannemeyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Diakite tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Diakite is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Diakite has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kannemeyer defend it? Diakite steps over the head and cranks it - Kannemeyer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Diakite!
