Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tin Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Timo Silakka!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tin Mann!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Silakka does no damage.
Silakka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mann tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mann manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mann tries to roll over but Silakka keeps him under control.
Mann is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Silakka pulls his head out easily.
Silakka trying to mount his opponent but Mann defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silakka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mann decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mann is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silakka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mann's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mann's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silakka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silakka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mann circles away quickly and effectively.
Mann closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silakka slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Mann is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silakka is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silakka has escaped and now he's on top!

Silakka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mann is just riding it out for now. Silakka eventually gives up the hold.

and Silakka counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mann's knee momentarily.
Silakka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silakka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mann moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
