Melo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Melo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Herzog is defending well.

Melo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Herzog uses from the top position.
Herzog passes Melo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Herzog tries to pass the half guard into mount. Melo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Herzog is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Melo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
