Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruiz Edinhio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ruiz Edinhio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harold Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop stuffs the takedown.
Edinhio tries for a takedown but Bishop sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bishop has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Edinhio is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Bishop is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Edinhio.

Bishop looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bishop thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Edinhio's head.
Edinhio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Edinhio is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bishop is looking to take a break and control but Edinhio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bishop is stalling here. Edinhio is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bishop seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Edinhio has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Bishop throws a strike but Edinhio rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Edinhio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bishop swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bishop looking to control.
Bishop is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Bishop is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Edinhio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Edinhio has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bishop defend it? Edinhio steps over the head and cranks it - Bishop is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Edinhio!
