Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velazques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazques has chosen Siempre Peligroso as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velazques shoots for a takedown but Barnes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Velazques keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barnes throws a body punch but Velazques moves out of range.

Velazques shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barnes's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barnes is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Barnes tries to pass to full mount but Velazques defends it.

Barnes uses his free foot to push down on Velazques's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Velazques.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Barnes cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

You get the feeling that Velazques really doesn't like being in this position too much.
BOOM! Barnes connects with a massive shot to the dome!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big strike lands for Barnes! That's really hurt Velazques and he's turned his back - Barnes keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Barnes Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
