The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpin throws a shot to the body.
Turpin lands a leg kick that knocks Bustamante off balance momentarily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bustamante.
Turpin blocks a head kick by Bustamante.
Turpin misses with a body shot.
Turpin throws an off balance right hand
and Bustamante counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Turpin misses the shot to the body.

Bustamante pushes Turpin up against the cage in a clinch.
Turpin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Turpin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bustamante throws the left hand but Turpin avoids the punch easily.
Turpin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bustamante manages to avoid it.
Turpin moves out of range of the body kick from Bustamante.
Bustamante avoids the body shot from Turpin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turpin throws a leg kick but Bustamante checks it.
Turpin is looking to wear down Bustamante with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bustamante.
Bustamante scores with a head kick.
Bustamante connects with a nice looking jab.
Bustamante tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Turpin throwing a counter right hand but Bustamante manages to avoid it.
That kick from Bustamante tenderised Turpin's leg. Turpin is trying to keep his angry face on.
Turpin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bustamante stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Turpin blocks a jab.
Turpin misses the shot to the body.
Turpin throws a jab but it's blocked by Bustamante.
Bustamante fakes the leg kick and cracks Turpin in the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bustamante throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Turpin's head.

It looks like Randolph Turpin has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bustamante wants to clinch up but Turpin keeps it at a distance.
Turpin walks into a left hand.
Turpin throws a big shot that misses.
Turpin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Turpin misses with an uppercut.
Turpin throws a hook to the side of Bustamante's head but Bustamante sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Turpin checks a low kick from Bustamante.
Turpin appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bustamante misses with an uppercut
and Turpin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bustamante fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Turpin.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bustamante throws a nice inside leg kick.

Bustamante lands a big head kick that sends Turpin tumbling to the mat! Bustamante takes a step backwards and waves Turpin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Turpin is rocked!
Bustamante sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Turpin's defenses. It connects perfectly with Turpin's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diego Bustamante! Diego Bustamante retains his super heavyweight title!
As Diego Bustamante got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Congrats on being inducted to the Syn Hall of Fame Turpin! Here's hoping I'll follow in your footsteps.'.
