Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darius Lucian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Burnhope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Darius Lucian has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

and Lucian counters with a low kick, right behind Burnhope 's knee.

and Lucian makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Burnhope really felt that one!
Crunch! Lucian slams his shin into Burnhope's torso.

and Lucian counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lucian buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Burnhope throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lucian tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Burnhope manages to circle out of the way.

Bob Burnhope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucian connects with a good right hand that stumbles Burnhope. Burnhope circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Burnhope throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Burnhope has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Lucian.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lucian - that will leave a mark!
Burnhope misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lucian rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burnhope moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Burnhope lands a jab to the head.
That kick from Lucian tenderised Burnhope's leg. Burnhope is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lucian moves out of range of the body kick from Burnhope.
Lucian is looking to slow Burnhope down with leg kicks.
Burnhope tries to clinch but Lucian is having none of it.
A jab from Lucian does it's job there.
Lucian lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burnhope ducks right into an uppercut from Lucian.

Burnhope throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Burnhope tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lucian paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lucian paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Lucian counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Burnhope misses with a looping left.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Burnhope might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lucian has got the better of the exchanges.
Burnhope gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Burnhope throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lucian.

and Burnhope takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Whack! Lucian lands a heavy head kick that drops Burnhope. The ref tackles Lucian to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Burnhope was done.

After the fight, Darius Lucian was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
