Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kido Shojiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kido Shojiro will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnathan Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kido Shojiro!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shojiro wants to clinch.
Conway throws a head kick that misses.
Shojiro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Conway sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shojiro somewhat.
Shojiro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Conway circles away.
Conway tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Shojiro manages to circle out of the way.
Shojiro takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Conway throws a looping overhand right but Shojiro ducks down to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shojiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Conway is just out of range.
Conway could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A punch combination from Shojiro misses.
Shojiro is looking to clinch.
Conway is looking to counter the offense by Shojiro and move into the clinch.
Shojiro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conway manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Conway throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Conway misses with the combination.
No luck for Shojiro with that takedown attempt.
Conway is looking to counter the offense by Shojiro and move into the clinch.
Johnathan Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kido Shojiro.
Shojiro lands a jab.

It looks like Johnathan Conway has been cut.
Shojiro misses with a takedown attempt - Conway sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Conway moves into the clinch.

Conway slowing the pace effectively.
Shojiro is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Conway is keeping busy.
Conway is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Shojiro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Conway to keep the fight standing.
Conway lands with a short shot to the head.

Shojiro ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shojiro no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Conway lands a couple of digs.
Conway is in close to Shojiro's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Shojiro has a closed guard, preventing Conway from standing up.
Shojiro is trying to control the position but Conway postures up.
Shojiro is looking to stand up but Conway isn't so interested in that idea.
Conway stands up over Shojiro, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Conway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shojiro on the ground.

Conway is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Shojiro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Conway is looking to defend but Shojiro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Conway! Shojiro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Conway taps out and this one is all over!
