The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Be Nize takes one to the chin there.
Grimes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Ra Rrz Be Nize has been cut.
Grimes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Grimes scores with a nice right hand.
Grimes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Be Nize stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Grimes has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Grimes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Be Nize on the side of the head.

Grimes is trying to maintain the position but Be Nize is very close to passing his half guard.
Be Nize is working for a kimura but Grimes is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Be Nize is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grimes is just riding it out for now. Be Nize eventually gives up the hold.

Be Nize might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Be Nize has his hands on Grimes's head, controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Grimes wants to stand but Be Nize is controlling his posture from full guard.

Be Nize's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Grimes is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Be Nize is controlling him well.
Be Nize is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Grimes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Be Nize tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Be Nize has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Be Nize has gone for a leg lock! Grimes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Be Nize's guard.
Grimes wants to control from the top but Be Nize keeps moving.

Kiefer Grimes seems to be getting the better of the standup.
