Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harry Sachz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez just misses with a punch to the body.
Sachz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sachz misses with a hook to the body
and Sachz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Alvarez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sachz is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sachz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alvarez pinned against the cage. Alvarez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alvarez throws a hook but Sachz avoids it easily.
Alvarez lands a nice shot to the body.
Alvarez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sachz throws out the jab.
Alvarez misses with an uppercut. Sachz saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sachz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Alvarez throws out a loose jab but Sachz uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sachz shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sachz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Alvarez gets the underhooks and prevents it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sachz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sachz is trying to pull guard but Alvarez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Alvarez pushes Sachz back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Alvarez lands a body shot in the clinch.
Alvarez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Oh Sachz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Alvarez throws a big uppercut that drops Sachz! More strikes from Alvarez and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Sachz lies dazed against the cage as Alvarez celebrates with his cornermen!
